彼の國の大森林より流れ出る霞星川に沿って遥か下流へ歩みを進めると、荒野地帯が現れる。

風は常に強く、砂塵が舞い上がる乾いた大地。そんな荒野地帯の中に築かれた街のひとつ、"Sandcrest"。

時にその民は風に乗る砂塵に傾聴し、己が次にとるべき行動を悟る。

かつて大干ばつが襲った際も彼らは砂に諭され街から避難し、事なきを得たという。

砂には龍の加護が施されており、民はその加護の力を借りて砂に込められた言葉を読み解いているのだ。

今を生きる民の中に龍を直接見たという者はいないが、

皆この街は龍によって守られたという言い伝えにのっとり、龍を崇めている。

今日という日を心穏やかに過ごせることへの感謝の念が、街をゆったりとした雰囲気に染めているようだ。

Following the Mist-Star River downstream from the Great Forest of Kanokuni, one eventually reaches an arid expanse.

The winds blow fiercely there, lifting clouds of sand beneath the dry, sun-baked sky.

Within this vast wilderness stands one of its few settlements — “Sandcrest.”

The people of Sandcrest are said to listen to the drifting sands carried by the wind,

discerning from their murmurs the path they should take.

When a great drought once struck the region, they heeded the voice of the sand and fled the city, thus escaping calamity.

It is believed that the sands bear the blessing of a dragon,

and through that blessing the townsfolk can read the words hidden within each grain.

None among the living claim to have seen the dragon itself, yet all revere it,

upholding the ancient legend that their city was once protected by its power.

A quiet sense of gratitude for the peace of each passing day seems to imbue this city with its gentle, unhurried air.​
